Our seasoned staff of engineers and technicians assesses your collection system and lays out every alternative, whether it be rehabilitation or new construction, helping you choose the most cost-effective and lasting solution to your problem. For years, piping has been the focal point of wastewater collection system repair, with little or no attention paid to manhole structures. But studies document that cities that have systematically rehabilitated manholes achieve significant I/I reduction and thus improved integrity and hydraulic reliability of the wastewater collection system.

Wade & Associates has worked with many public officials, contractors and City staffs to implement the appropriate methods of manhole rehabilitation or replacement which in turn eliminates the need for costly and unnecessary conventional system reconstruction.

Wade & Associates provided the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, construction plans and specifications detailing generally accepted rehabilitation methods for approximately 500 manholes. Wade & Associates' took care to provide bidders with precise plans and details and clear, accurate specifications. Bids for construction work came in under budget, allowing the City to expand project parameters without additional funding.

Whether your repair solution involves rehabilitation or new construction, Wade & Associates' construction management team can direct each phase of your system improvement, providing:

  • Pre-construction project certification.
  • Preparation of construction plans, right-of-way descriptions, construction contract documents.
  • Utility coordination, signage and pavement markings, construction phasing and traffic control.
  • Construction supervision and associated resident engineering services.
  • Post-construction coordination among City personnel, contractors, utilities and engineers.
  • Evaluation and post-rehab certification.
